Press Release: Multigenerational Travel is the Trend, European Cruises are the answer!

(Fairfield, Conn. March 2007) Kids don’t like museums? Bored with your tours to Cathedrals in Europe? You want to bring the Grandparents but worry that they can’t keep up with the kids? Nancy Yale, owner and founder of Cruise Resort & World Travel, Inc. of Fairfield, Connecticut, says “take a family vacation full of cultural experiences, wonderful art and Old World charm and please grandparents, parents and children alike with a 7 – 14 day European cruise, the perfect multigenerational vacation for this summer.”
On a European cruise, cultural exposure to important museums, cathedrals and architecture of other lands is seasoned with socializing and new friendships on board the cruise ship which is the perfect answer to a parents’ need to connect history class with the real thing, and a teenagers’ desire to spend time having fun with others their own age.

The joy of spending time with their families and the love of travel is a big plus for Grandparents who want to join in on the summer fun aboard a European cruise. Families come together over meals and activities on the boat and then as parents and children head off for an action packed day of exploring, grandparents can simply stay on board or choose a half day sightseeing tour. Many options exist for the multigenerational cruise vacation which is tailor made for every member of the family.

Beyond the family spending quality time together and appealing to everyone’s idea of the perfect vacation, there are other advantages of a European cruise, states travel expert Nancy Yale. “The ability to visit several countries without wasting time packing, unpacking and traveling between cities (the ship sails to the next port of call at night when you are asleep), the ability to hire a private guide which allows you to dictate the itinerary and see more at your own pace, and because a European cruise may be a less expensive vacation (the value of the dollar is falling in Europe), there is great value with less stress in a European cruise vacation this summer.”

One of the growing trends in travel today is multigenerational vacations. In our fast paced world of hectic schedules, Mom and Dad, the kids and the Grandparents want to share meaningful time together and can do so on a vacation that caters to everyone’s needs and offers culturally meaningful travel experiences and fun. The European cruise is the perfect solution and a family favorite.

I read article online about your knowledge of Asia. My son lives in Bangkok, Thailand. My granddaughter is graduating from the international school there on 5/24/08. I would like to attend the graduation but cannot make the long flights anymore. Is there a cruise leaving from the west coast of the US that would get me to one of the main Asian cities in May. I can fly for several hours to Bangkok from say HongKong. I am not really interested in seeing tourist sites as I have been there. I am really just interested in getting to Bangkok for the graduation. Catherine Lauritano Palm Beach Gardens Fl.

Thanks for your comment. There are no cruises to Hong Kong this time of year. The world cruise segments that would do that are in the winter. Only the world cruise segments would go from North America to Asia (eventually). I would suggest getting a business class air ticket and stopping once or twice to break up the flight, even if it just to overnight at an airport hotel. I hope this helps, sounds like a wonderful occasion to be there for! Thanks, Nancy
