Azamara cruises

This is a new Celebrity Cruiseline “branch” with small ships holding 710 passengers. These are the old Renaissance ships that were bought by Oceania, but with a couple left over, Celebrity bought 2 of them and is launching a line that is more luxurious than their regular ships. They are doing more exotic itineraries to South America, Antarctica and Asia. They are also offering butler service for every cabin.

This is a new way to experience luxury cruising with a small number of fellow passengers to new destinations. This will be less expensive than the luxury lines such as Seabourn, Silversea and Regent, the jury is still out on the product. I think it will prove to be somewhere between those upscale and the mass market of Celebriity or Royal Caribbean. The Journey is doing Bermuda this summer from New York and the Quest is now taking reservations for next year for more exotic trips.
