Tis the season for travel deals and great value

The fall is usually a great time to secure the best value. It is not because the weather is bad or that it is a bad time to travel, but many people return to work after the summer and take most of their vacations during the summer. The Caribbean and Europe are great places to visit now. Not bombarded with tourists and not too hot for sightseeing. For example, a Windstar cruise for 7 nights for $1,000.00 per person! You can’t beat that. Also, you can do a week in the Caribbean for golf or just sun and spa for very reasonable rates before the holiday vacations which are very costly right now. The airlines appear to be gauging for the holidays. The round trip airfare right now from NY to Cancun is over $1,000.00 per person! So, if you can, travel now, in the fall before Thanksgiving or between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Europe is another story as the dollar keeps falling and is now about $1.41 to the Euro. There are some hotels that are sensitive to our falling dollar and are offering price parity with the Euro.
The fall again is the best time to go since Europeans usually travel in August for their longer trips and if we travel then, we can benefit with their better rates. European hotels are still more expensive than in the US, but there is value in traveling to Europe in the fall.
