Many parents are uncomfortable with kids doing “spring break” on an island in the Caribbean or on a cruise. They can’t go on a cruise unless they are 21 or are with people who are over 25. Most of my spring breakers have fun on an all inclusive. They don’t have to drive so if they drink, there is no risk of car accidents… and they will drink! Now is the time for these kids to plan for spring break and if they seek advice of a travel consultant, they will have a safe and fun trip. We recommend properties that will allow 3 or 4 in a room and will allow spring breakers at their resorts. Some do not. I know there are many parents who would like to send their 18 year olds away for a high school graduation present, I don’t agree with that. The world is a very different place than it was 10 years ago and I think kids at the age of 18 should not go with their “friends” to an island, even if the drinking age is 18. You are just endorsing under age drinking. Ask us about great ideas for your kids.
